In some instances, a sample website from countless ones available on the internet is linked. In other instances, the page is under constant construction as new resources become available. The Âé¶¹´«Ã½ community is encouraged to submit to CWAAC assessment resources for consideration.<\/p>\n<div class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>Applying a Rubric<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<div>\n<p>Programs may assess student learning in a variety of ways to yield meaningful results. However, some assessment methods have surfaced as especially useful ones for assessing student learning at Ramapo College. For example here is a widespread use of rubrics for assessment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/assessment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2013\/03\/38-1.doc\">Applying a Rubric to a Student Product<\/a> (DOC)<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>Closing the Loop<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<p>The most important part of any assessment process is closing the loop. of students&#8217; actual learning, evaluating, for example, projects and performances.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Embedded assessment<\/strong>: An assessment using methods already available in a course, such as a question on an exam, a group project, or a demonstration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Findings<\/strong>: Your actual assessment results.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Indirect assessment<\/strong>: Typically an assessment of students&#8217; perceptions of their learning, using, for instance, focus groups and surveys.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Learning outcome:<\/strong> A succinct statement of what you would like students to know or be able to do. Sometimes called an objective, an outcome may also refer to an attitude or a disposition.
