Howenstein<br \/>\nMarta Vides<br \/>\nJill Weiss<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<h3>About the Program<\/h3>\n<p>Since its inception in 1971, Ramapo College has actively supported the professional law aspirations of its students through a variety of academic programs, career counseling, law school advisement, and student support services, such as clubs and law school fairs.<\/p>\n<p>Â鶹´«Ã½ graduates have attended such law schools as:<\/p>\n<div class=\"infoBox\" style=\"width: 50%;float: none; margin: 0 auto;\"><div class=\"boxContent\" style=\"padding: 0%;\">\n<div class=\"columnSet\">\n<div class=\"stackableColumn\" >\n<ul>\n<li>Yale<\/li>\n<li>Rutgers<\/li>\n<li>Seton Hall<\/li>\n<li>Columbia<\/li>\n<li>N.Y.U.<\/li>\n<li>Fordham<\/li>\n<li>C.U.N.Y.<\/li>\n<li>Pace<\/li>\n<li>New York Law<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Villanova<\/li>\n<li>Temple<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"stackableColumn\" >\n<ul>\n<li>Georgetown<\/li>\n<li>George Washington<\/li>\n<li>American<\/li>\n<li>William and Mary<\/li>\n<li>University of Colorado<\/li>\n<li>Gonzaga<\/li>\n<li>Pepperdine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>These graduates have pursued careers in public service, corporate law, and private practice at local, state, and national levels.<\/p>\n<p>Students admitted to law school are selected from a broad range of undergraduate majors. Therefore, if you are preparing for law school while at Â鶹´«Ã½, you are encouraged to pursue any major in which you excel. However, since legal education has become increasingly multidisciplinary, you may wish to take courses in such areas as legal history, public policy, social welfare, and environmental studies to enhance your pre-law preparation.<\/p>\n<p>Â鶹´«Ã½&#8217;s Governor William T. Cahill Center for Experiential Learning and Career Services (link below) offers several programs and services to assist you with planning for a career in law. These programs include law school forums, cooperative education, and service learning opportunities. The Center offers minority support and career counseling services as well.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/careercenter\/\">Cahill Center<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The College supports the goals of law school-bound students through the Law and Society Club and its chapter of Phi Alpha Delta. Both offer many ways to improve your understanding of law through experiential field trips and guest speakers.
