This course will empower you to properly evaluate risks and returns, understand asset allocation and diversification, and make informed decisions to invest your money wisely and achieve your financial goals. We will explore the relationship between the economy, the stock market, and the role of the Federal Reserve in determining sound interest rate policy. Nostalgia\u2014our longing for the past\u2014has prompted us to channel the look, feel, and spirit of the \u201cbetter days\u201d for ages. Today, where these better days feel more distant than before, we\u2019ve taken the initiative to bring those days back as living ghosts that feel closer to us than ever. To live in the past, it only takes the click of a few buttons. This course will examine the evolving nature of memory and longing in 21st century life \u2014 namely how new media and advanced technologies have spurred the development of new practices and productions of memory in art, culture, and politics. We use them to communicate ideas without using words. Just as emojis can show feelings in messages, signs and symbols help us understand the world around us. Emphasis will be placed on Visual Communication\u2013 including contemporary art, design, film, music, photography, fashion, and architecture.
