International Transfer Students<\/h3>\n

If you are in F-1 status and you plan to continue your studies or work at another U.S. institution after leaving Ramapo College, the ISSS will need to complete the immigration transfer procedure so that your new institution will be able to issue a Form I-20.<\/p>\n

Please complete the appropriate \u201cTransfer Out\u201d form and return to ISSS.; You must request the transfer no later than the end of your program plus applicable grace period.; If you would like to discuss the transfer out process in more detail, please visit ISSS office.<\/p>\n

If you are in F-1 status and are transferring in to Ramapo College from another institution you should complete the appropriate \u201cTransfer In\u201d form and return to the ISSS.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

Application Process<\/h3>\n

Only those students with either an \u201cF-1\u2033 (student) visa or \u201cJ-1\u2033 (exchange) visa qualify for the international student designation. A special application is available from the Office of Admissions. Students should apply at least six months before planning to enroll. To be eligible for enrollment, you must have completed course work equivalent to American high school requirements and possess a reasonable fluency in English. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required of all international students.<\/p>\n

Transfer applicants must submit all official secondary and post-secondary records. Transcripts from outside of the United States must be evaluated (course by course) by\u00a0any current member<\/a>\u00a0of the\u00a0National Association of Credential Evaluation Services<\/a>\u00a0(NACES). Students who are transferring from colleges in the United States must also submit official transcripts and financial documents. However, if the student has passed English composition with a grade of C or better, a TOEFL score is not required.<\/p>\n
