Welcome to the Resources page for all things related to the Comprehensive Academic plan. This page serves as a central hub for resources and opportunities for engagement related to the CAP, supporting students, faculty, staff, and alumni as this work continues. We encourage you to explore and check back as the plan evolves. <\/span><\/p>\n Âé¶¹´«Ã½\u2019s <\/span>Comprehensive Academic Plan<\/span><\/a>, guided by the <\/span>Boldly Ascending Strategic Plan<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>involves a refinement of our academic structure and curriculum and leadership. <\/span>It\u2019s all about keeping learning fresh, supporting your goals, and making sure what you study today prepares you for tomorrow. As we put the plan into action, you\u2019ll begin to see some exciting changes.<\/span><\/p>\n Effective July 1, 2026, Âé¶¹´«Ã½ will be moving to four schools designed to support all students in their academic journey:<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Comprehensive Academic Plan<\/span><\/a> is Âé¶¹´«Ã½\u2019s roadmap to improve academics, leadership, and the student experience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Majors By School Effective July 1, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n HGS Movement Effective July 1, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Yes, all previously taken courses will still count toward the total 128 credits required to graduate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Courses taken to complete the SSHS School Core, HGS School Core, and CA School Core may also count for the General Education category or as free electives.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Courses taken to complete the ASB School Core will still count toward the ASB required courses.<\/span><\/p>\n Review your <\/span>Degree Audit<\/span><\/a> to see how your courses are being applied to your requirements for graduation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Review your <\/span>Degree Audit<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Course Catalog<\/span><\/a>, and sample <\/span>graduation plans<\/span><\/a> to help you update your plan. Free space may mean you have the opportunity for more electives, a minor, or study abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n The <\/span>General Education Distribution Categories<\/span><\/a> include:<\/p>\n You must select two of the three categories to fulfill this requirement. Note that with the changes taking effect Fall 2026, the \u201cout of school requirement\u201d is no longer being enforced in the College\u2019s degree audit tools.\u00a0 You are encouraged to take courses from a variety of disciplines.<\/span><\/p>\n If you believe there is an error in the way your courses are being applied to meet the General Education distribution requirements, email the Registrar\u2019s office at degreeaudit@ramapo.edu<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Log into <\/span>U.Achieve<\/span><\/a> and select Audit. Click on the PDF format run by BARS. Email <\/span>degreeaudit@ramapo.edu<\/span><\/a> if you have any questions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n As of March 2026, all continuing students will use DegreeWorks as their degree audit tool. Review the steps to learn <\/span>how to run a degree audit.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Students graduating in May 2026 or August 2026 will use U.Achieve.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n If you have questions about your degree audit, email <\/span>degreeaudit@ramapo.edu<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n As part of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½\u2019s Comprehensive Academic Plan (CAP), the College is transitioning to a four\u2011school structure beginning with the 2026\u20132027 academic year. As a result, portions of historical catalogs\u2014particularly those referencing previous school-based requirements such as School Cores or General Education \u201cOut of School\u201d distributions\u2014may no longer reflect the current academic organization or requirements. Students should consult their Degree Audit and the CAP Student Resources page for more information. Questions can be directed to degreeaudit@ramapo.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Come to a Q&A with a Dean to learn more about these changes and how they impact you.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n No, the School Core requirements are no longer part of your graduation requirement. However, if you want to retake the class to raise your GPA, you still have the opportunity to do so and submit a grade replacement request. Students have four times total in their undergraduate academic career when they can request a grade replacement.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
